Director, writer, illustrator, animator, photographer – is there anything he can’t do? Give Danny Sangra a camera and an afternoon in Paris and he’ll give you a black & white short film that’s sweet and funny and charming and every other good adjective you can think of. He’s come a long way since his early days as an artist, which began as a restless 5-year-old, drawing on the pages of the magazines in his mother’s hairdressing studio in Leeds. Thankfully, he’s never lost touch with this subversive, fun-loving nature and, in many ways, his work is really a celebration of everything DIY. Known for his risk-taking approach, he’s sought for by clients such as Louis Vuitton, Nike, A$AP Rocky, Mercedes Benz, Balenciaga, and freaking George Harrison. To name but a few.
